We’ve made a list of 8 Pumpkin patches across Ireland on the run up to Halloween 2021
With Halloween on the horizon and travel restrictions long gone, the usual spooky festivities leading up to the big day are back in motion!
You could just go to the local shop and pick up a pumpkin but if you want more of an experience there are plenty of Pumpkin patches throughout Ireland with fun activities for the kids. We’ve listed 8 below that you can check out.
Pumpkin Farm by location:
Located on the outskirts of Maynooth, Clonfert Pet Farm offer a pumpkin patch where the kids can pick their favourite pumpkin including taking part in a treasure hunt, they also have a haunted house and reptile room you can visit that will definitely keep them entertained.

Based out of Crooksling in south west Dublin is LuggWoods where you will be brought through their enchanted and spooky forest where fun characters may play some tricks on you while on your way to picking up your pumpkin. If you’re in Dublin and don’t want to go too far, this pumpkin patch is ideal.

Roughly 16 kilometres north west of Cork City you’ll find The Farm Grenagh, The kids can bring the pumpkin home after picking it or you can get the on-site witches to carve it for you! There’s also a restaurant on-site if you’re feeling peckish afterwards.

Killarney Pumpkin Farm – Kerry
If you’re in or around The Kingdom, Killarney Pumpkin Farm will cater for you with not only a patch to pick your favourite pumpkin but also a spooky corn maze, a pumpkin pixie village and even alpacas to meet!

Michael’s Pumpkin Patch – Galway
Roughly 16 kilometres north of Galway City you’ll find Michael’s Pumpkin Patch. Michael has been growing pumpkins since he was 5 years old and started his patch last year with this year’s edition being bigger than before. Kids will be treated with a goody bag before picking their pumpkin with refreshments available for the adults.

Just a couple of kilometres south from the Kilkenny village of Bennettsbridge is Nore Valley Park, a popular family-friendly campsite and open animal farm. From 16-30th of October they will be hosting a range of Halloween activities as well as picking your pumpkin including a torchlight treasure hunt, bonfire, scare maze and marshmallow toasting.

Ballycross Apple Farm – Wexford
If you’re based in the sunny south east, Ballycross Apple farm are hosting pumpkin picking events on the lead up to Halloween. The kids can also meet the animals, try the pedal-tractors and go-karts with the adults can enjoy great walking trails and a cafe to relax and take in some refreshments.

The Jungle Hallowee’uns – Derry
If you’re based in the north west and looking for a real Halloween experience The Jungle Hallowee’uns will be right up your street. Not only do they have pumpkins to pick and carve, their fun activities also include a haunted haycart ride with witch stories, a spooky maize trail, fancy dress with spot prizes and a quad train. They also have activities for the adults like archery and wall-climbing.
